How We Heal
Therapeutic Modalities
Blending diverse, clinically proven psychological frameworks to build an integrative therapy plan perfectly matching your nervous system, goals, and history.
Modal Approach 01
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a highly structured, evidence-based therapy centering on how your internal thought loops dictate your physical reactions and behavioral patterns. When suffering from anxiety or depression, the mind develops "cognitive distortions" (e.g. catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking) that perpetuate low moods.
Together, we work actively to track these negative automatic thoughts as they happen, dismantle their validity, and cultivate healthier behavioral patterns to break the anxiety cycle.
Best Suited For:
Panic attacks, chronic worry, obsessive loops, clinical depression, and stress management.
Key Clinical Tools:
Thought records, cognitive restructuring, graded behavioral exposure, and behavioral activation.
Modal Approach 02
Person-Centred Approach
Grounded in the humanistic philosophy of Carl Rogers, the Person-Centred approach holds that every individual possesses an intrinsic capacity for self-actualization and growth when supported by the right relational conditions.
Rather than acting as a rigid director, Saleha provides a warm, non-judgmental sanctuary built on genuine empathy and unconditional positive regard, allowing you to safely unpack your true feelings, process identity struggles, and rebuild confidence in your internal wisdom.
Best Suited For:
Low self-esteem, self-doubt, identity exploration, cultural belonging, grief, and personal empowerment.
Key Clinical Tools:
Empathetic listening, non-directive reflection, emotional validation, and unconditional acceptance.
Modal Approach 03
Psychodynamic Approach
The Psychodynamic approach explores how unconscious thoughts, developmental memories, and early family attachments shape your adult emotions, defense mechanisms, and relationship choices.
By bringing hidden relational patterns and suppressed feelings into conscious awareness, you break free from repeating old emotional scripts, developing healthier attachments and deeper self-understanding.
Best Suited For:
Recurring relationship conflict, attachment anxiety, unresolved family dynamics, and deep self-inquiry.
Key Clinical Tools:
Free association, attachment style exploration, defense mechanism analysis, and pattern recognition.
Modal Approach 04
Schema Therapy
If you find yourself repeatedly falling into the same toxic relationships, experiencing persistent self-sabotage, or feeling fundamentally "not good enough," Schema Therapy offers profound relief. It targets deep, early maladaptive schemas (life traps) formed during childhood when emotional needs went unmet.
We identify these old survival modes and emotional triggers, gently processing childhood core memories, and teaching your adult self how to heal and care for your vulnerable inner child.
Best Suited For:
Chronic relationship struggles, deep-seated emotional neglect, childhood trauma, and low self-worth.
Key Clinical Tools:
Schema questionnaire, chairwork, limited reparenting, and imagery rescripting.
Modal Approach 05
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a unique mindfulness-based cognitive therapy that encourages you to stop fighting, suppressing, or running away from painful emotions. Instead of trying to force negative feelings out, ACT teaches you to cultivate psychological flexibility.
We learn to view thoughts simply as thoughts, accept uncomfortable sensations as natural human occurrences, and commit to actions that align with what truly matters to you.
Best Suited For:
General anxiety, depression, existential crises, and navigating huge life transitions.
Key Clinical Tools:
Cognitive defusion techniques, values clarification exercises, and self-as-context meditation.
Modal Approach 06
Existential Approach
Existential therapy addresses the core human conditions of meaning, purpose, freedom, responsibility, isolation, and mortality. When encountering major life transitions or existential anxiety, standard symptom reduction may feel insufficient.
Rather than treating existential doubt as an illness, we honor it as a meaningful gateway to personal authenticity, helping you take agency over your life choices and construct a purposeful path forward.
Best Suited For:
Existential dread, life transitions, loss of direction, bereavement, and career burnout.
Key Clinical Tools:
Phenomenological inquiry, meaning reconstruction, agency clarification, and authentic choice reflection.
Modal Approach 07
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), often referred to as EFT Tapping, is a clinically proven somatic mind-body practice that combines cognitive exposure and self-acceptance statements with light tapping on specific meridian acupressure points.
By gently stimulating key energy meridians while focusing on distressing thoughts, emotions, or traumatic memories, EFT sends soothing signals directly to the amygdala, rapidly lowering cortisol, deconditioning stress loops, and restoring emotional equilibrium.
Best Suited For:
Acute anxiety, panic, traumatic memories, physical stress containment, performance fears, and emotional overwhelm.
Key Clinical Tools:
Meridian acupressure tapping, setup phrases, SUDs rating scale, cognitive reframing, and somatic deconditioning.
Modal Approach 08
Mindfulness, Gestalt, & Somatic Integration
Psychological trauma and anxiety do not just exist in the head, they are stored physically in the body and nervous system (tight chest, shallow breathing, chronic muscle tension). Merely "talking" about trauma is sometimes not enough to regulate a hyperactive fight-or-flight response.
By integrating gentle somatic mindfulness, breathwork, and Gestalt "present-moment" awareness, we help release physical trauma containment, restoring calm and safety to your body.
Best Suited For:
Complex PTSD, panic attacks, psychosomatic illness, and nervous system dysregulation.
Key Clinical Tools:
Body scanning, diaphragmatic loop breathing, grounding techniques, and emotional physical tracing.
Modal Approach 09
Trauma-Focused Therapy
Trauma is not only what happened to you, it is what your nervous system still carries afterwards. Traumatic experiences can leave the brain and body stuck in survival mode long after the danger has passed, producing flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or a sense of being permanently on edge for reasons that are hard to explain.
Trauma-focused work moves at your pace and never asks you to relive more than you can hold. We begin by building safety, grounding, and internal resources, then gently process what happened within your window of tolerance, so the memory can settle into the past rather than intruding on the present.
Best Suited For:
Single-incident and childhood trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, dissociation, and emotional numbness.
Key Clinical Tools:
Phased trauma treatment, stabilisation and resourcing, grounding techniques, window-of-tolerance work, paced memory processing, and trauma-informed psychoeducation.
Choosing Together
You do not have to pick one
Most people work across several of these. We decide the mix together, and change it when your needs change.
We start with what is loudest
If panic or low mood is making daily life hard, we begin with practical tools to steady things before going deeper.
Then we look at the roots
Once you feel more settled, schema and psychodynamic work can address the patterns underneath the symptoms.
Body work runs alongside
Grounding, breathwork, and EFT sit inside sessions whenever your nervous system needs settling rather than more talking.
We review as we go
Every few sessions we check what is helping. If an approach is not working for you, we change it.
